Thomas P. “Tommy” Winters

Thomas P. “Tommy” Winters, 59, of Dahlonega passed away Tuesday April 23, 2013 following a sudden illness. Born July 2, 1953, Mr. Winters was a native of Atlanta and had been living in Lumpkin County for the past 20 years. Tommy was formerly employed as a printer but had been employed at Wal-Mart in Dawsonville since its opening. An avid camper and a champion at horseshoes, he was preceded in death by his father, Albert G. Winters, Jr., and stepfather, William Dennis Jackson. Surviving are his mother, Elizabeth Winters Jackson, Gulfport, FL; sisters and brother in law, Deborah Winters Milligan, Atlanta, Peggy and Larry Rich, Dacula; brothers and sister in law, Albert G. Winters, III, Douglasville, William and Leeann Winters, Beuche, LA; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Saturday April 27, 2013 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
