He was the son of Samuel Smith and Lessie (Yelverton) Dunn, born Oct. 15, 1927, in Jackson, Tenn., and moved to Atlanta soon after his birth. Warner Robins, GA-Jeana Mathis Quick, 83 passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on April 30, 2013 in the chapel of Lowe’s Funeral Home, Helena, GA. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Mount Galilee Cemetery. Rev. Phil Bryant will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sandy Valley Baptist Church, 1124 S. Houston Lake Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088. Mrs. Quick was born in Jacksonville, GA on January 12, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Clayton and Annie Mathis. She was predeceased by a brother Clayton Walden Mathis. She was an active member of Sandy Valley Baptist Church. Mrs. Quick was retired from Robins AFB. Jeana is survived by brothers and sisters, Geraldine McMillan, Oveda Ashley, Maudine Conley, Lawton Mathis, Charles Mathis, Lynn Bonnette and Richard Mathis.
