Evans, GA – Mr. James Allen Neal, Sr., beloved husband of Jeanette Cadle Neal, entered into rest on May 8, 2013 at his residence. Graveside services will be held on Monday May 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Hillcrest Memorial Park, with Rev. Edward Cadle officiating. Born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Mr. Neal served in the U. S. Army. He was the owner of Neal’s TV & Appliance, Neal’s Car Wash and Neal’s Personal Care Home. He was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church. Additional survivors include his two daughters, Sharon Lea Neal and Margie Ansley; two sons, James Allen Neal, Jr. and Michael Renn Neal ; four sisters, Norma Buckley, Betty Lawrence, Wilda Lawrence and Elsie Dever; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 13, 2013 from 12:30PM until 1:30 PM.

Tommie Lynn Rainey, 65, of Fitzgerald, died Thursday, May 9, 2013, at her residence.
Graveside memorial services will be held 2 PM, Monday, May 13, 2013, in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, Tifton with the Rev. Keith Goodlett officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rainey was born December 24, 1947, in Fitzgerald, to Joyce Ida Gunter and the late Julian Francis Gunter. A 1965 graduate of Fitzgerald High School, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Valdosta State College. She was a former educator for the Ben Hill County Elementary School. She was a former resident of Tifton and loved gardening. Mrs. Rainey was a member of Central United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sons: Will & Karen Kelly of Fitzgerald and Jed DeFore of St. Marys; two grandsons: Spain Kelly and Adam Kelly; her mother: Joyce Gunter of Fitzgerald; one brother: Brian Gunter of Fitzgerald; and one sister: Janet Lamon of Valdosta. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband: Harry Rainey; one brother: Terry Gunter; and an infant grandson.

Hull Asbury Atwater, Jr., 74, of Tifton died Friday, May 10, 2013, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Ricky Johnson, Maurice Hobby, Carl Palmer, Jim Lever, Garrison Jones, Ronnie Storey, and Rusty Moore will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Davy Davis, Andy Walker, Pat Atwater, Patrick Atwater, Brian Atwater and John Davis. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 11, 2013, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mr. Atwater was born on October 8, 1938 in Tifton and was the son of Hull Asbury Atwater, Sr. and Sarah Cochran Atwater, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one son, John Perry Atwater. He was a retired bailiff with the Tift County Court System and he was a Mason. Mr. Atwater is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ann Yancey Atwater of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Hull A. Atwater III and wife Patricia of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Yancey Davis and husband, Davy Davis of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Doug Carmichael of Danielsville; and four grandchildren, Katie Davis Walker, John Montgomery Davis, Sarah Atwater and Emily Atwater. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Tiftarea, P. O. Box 747, Tifton, GA 31793.
