Ms. Hawkins was born on November 5, 1935 in Pearson, GA to the late Willie Franklin and Lera Bell Taft Anderson, SR. Survivors include: two sons, Norman (Linda) Hawkins and Bobby Hawkins both of Nicholls, GA; one brother: Willie Franklin Anderson, Jr of Nicholls, GA; three Sisters: Leola Deen, Charlene Prescott, and Lera Bell Merritt all of Douglas, GA; four grandchildren: Joshua Hawkins, Autumn Whittle, Lauren Hawkins, and Shawn Hawkins; seven great-grandchildren: Madison Stanley, Kobe Whittle, Rheanna Spurling, Katelyn Spurling,. Bethany Whittle, Alexandria Hawkins and Joshua L. Hawkins Jr. The family of Annie Willene Hawkins will be receiving friends on Monday, April 15, 2013 from 6 to 9 PM at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John Carver officiating. Interment will follow in the Douglas City Cemetery. Audrey Sherrod, age 82, of Nicholls, GA passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Sherrod was born on July 21, 1930, in Douglas, GA to the late Thomas Ezra Joyce and Mary Elizabeth Jackson Joyce.

Survivors include: three sons, Thomas Edwin (Dot) Story, Lonnie Emgene (Thelma) Story, both of Douglas, GA, and Barry Keith Story, of Nicholls, GA; one daughter, Beverly Jean (Randall) Garner, of Nicholls, GA, eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Allen Sherrod and a son Donnie Austin Story.

Visitation will be held on Thursday form 6-9 pm.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Ashley Wood, Bishop Lucas Mizell, Bishop Jerry Waldron, Elder Rodney Peterson, and Bishop John Kenan officiating. Interment followed at Douglas City Cemetery.

Malcom Davis , age 85, of Nicholls, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Mr. Davis was born on March 21, 1927 to the late Malcom Davis, Sr and Lillie Kate Gainey Davis. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Mr. Davis is survived by: his wife, Nellie Faye Davis, of Nicholls, GA; two daughters, Tammy (Jack) Meeks, Douglas, GA and Lon Ellen(Steve) White, Boone, NC; one son, Norman Ashley (Yvonne) Davis, of Nicholls, GA; one brother, Jimmy Ray “Buck” Davis, of Nicholls, GA; one sister, Jessie Kate Hernandez, of Jacksonville, FL, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded, in death by one son, Mackie Lee Davis, two sisters, Irma Lou Kirkland and Ila Van O’Steen, and two brothers, Ernest Jude Davis and Norman Harold Davis.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 6-9 pm.

She was preceded, in death by a brother Cecil Davis.

Mrs. Snipes was born on March 26, 1949, in Douglas, GA to the late Arley Mitchell Waters, Sr and Thelma Lee Davis. She was a member of Telmore Pentacostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Grady Harold Snipes, of Nicholls, GA; three daughters, Lisa (David) Lott, of Douglas, GA, Tammy Ann (Lee Youngblood) Snipes, of Nicholls, GA, and Tina Diane Snipes, of Waycross, GA; one son, Eddie Joe Snipes, of Nicholls, GA; one brother, Arley Waters, of Nicholls, GA; three sisters, Marie Thomas, of Nicholls, GA, Lou Chauncey, of West Green, GA, and Joyce Burch, of Ambrose, GA; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a son Mitchell Snipes.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Brown and Rev. Jerry Campbell officiating.
