Colon Jiles Hamiliton Jr., 87, of Alma, died Monday, April 15, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Hamilton was born January 8, 1926 in Appling County to the late Colon Jiles Hamilton Sr. and the late Beatrice Hopper Hamilton. He attended Alma United Methodist Church. He was a member of 32nd Shriner and Free Masons for over 50 years and was a professional hypnotist, avid photographer, woodworker and a published author.

Sandra Burnette, age 69, of Alma passed away Wednesday, April 10th at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. She was a native of Crabb Apple, Georgia but had lived in Alma since 1988. Sandra was daughter of the late Louie Castleberry and Sarah Stroup Castleberry and preceded in death by three brothers, Bob, Thomas and Johnny Castleberry and three sisters, Mary Pugh, Janie Shirley and Martha Burrell. She was a member of New Lacy Church of God.

She was a member of Harvest Renewal Worship Center in Nicholls.Survivors include two sons, Jonathan Mullis and Eric Hughes of Jacksonville, FL., two daughters, Dana Mullis of Waycross and Christy Whiltey (Andy) of Alma, four sisters, Patricia Daniel & Rosie Phelp of Jesup, Annette Williamson and Jean Large of Baxley also eleven grandchildren survive.

Arthur Nell Johnson Miller, age 85, of Alma died at the Bacon County Hospital Friday afternoon March 1st, 2013 after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County, daughter of the late James Arthur Johnson and Lois Lee Johnson and was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William Delmer Miller, a daughter, Angela Miller Pittman, two brothers, Jerry Mack Johnson, Harrell Eugene (Harry) Johnson and two infant sisters. Arthur Nell was a member of the Alma First Baptist Church.
