JEFFERSON – Rena Powers Crow, 101, died.
She was born in Franklin County, was a member of First Baptist Church of Jefferson, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Crow along with her late husband, Tom Crow, established Crow’s Lake in Jefferson for fishing and recreation, and where she remained active in the family business until reaching age 95. Her husband preceded her in death some years ago.
Survivors include a daughter, Hilda Corbett, Jefferson; three sons, William Howard and (Rose Marie) Crow, Nokesville, Va., Thomas J. and (Nadine) Crow and Charles M. and (Pam) Crow, all of Jefferson; a sister, Reba Johnson, Royston; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Monday, February 25, from the First Baptist Church of Jefferson with Michael Helms and Kenny Rosser officiating. Burial was in Woodbine Cemetery in Jefferson. Honored as pallbearers were Billy Crow, Brian Crow, Kevin Crow, Tommy Corbett, Tim Corbett, and Todd Corbett.
